What is a Sound Bath

A sound bath is an immersive therapy that uses sound vibrations to improve and maintain emotional and physical well-being. These instruments include gong, Tibetan bowls, drums and crystal bowls.

 

How does Sound Healing work

The instruments vibrations help to clear energy blockages resulting in a harmonious flow of energy in the body. Sound healing encourages the brain to move into Theta brainwave frequencies which is our natural healing frequency, it creates a balance between the two hemispheres of the brain.

What to expect 

Sound baths offer a powerful way to relax and restore your inner well-being. During a sound bath you will lie down in a comfortable position closing your eyes and allowing the healing sounds to wash over and immerse you. The vibrations of the music can penetrate our cells promoting deep relaxation.

 

During the session

Our sound baths last approximately one hour. During the session it is not uncommon to experience a range of sensations or a release of emotions in addition to a deep sense of relaxation. It’s important to allow yourself to experience anything that arises and breath through it without judgment.

 

What should I bring/wear

When attending a sound healing session you should dress in loose and comfortable clothes and drink plenty of water before and after your session. Mats, pillows and blankets will be provided for your comfort, but you can bring your own if you wish to do so.

 

What are the benefits of Sound Baths

Benefits associated with Sound Baths: Reduces stress and anxiety, promotes deep relaxation, improves circulation and increases blood flow, balances chakra energy centres, increases mental and emotional clarity, stimulates the immune system promoting happiness and well-being, improved sleep and mood.

Important Information

Sound baths are not suitable for those who suffer from sound induced epilepsy, tinnitus, anyone who is extremely sensitive to sound or anyone with a pacemaker. They are also not recommended for women in the first trimester of pregnancy. If you have any concerns, please consult your doctor. What is Reiki

Reiki is a gentle energy healing practice that restores the flow and balance of energy within the body, mind, and soul. Reiki is based on the belief that there is a life force energy “Ki” that flows through every living thing. When this energy becomes blocked it can lead to illness and disease.

How can Reiki help you

Reiki helps balance energy in the body, which can in turn help:

  • Reduce stress

  • ⁠Improve sleep

  • Reduce pain

  • Improve mood

  • Improve mental clarity

  • Improve sense of wellbeing

What to expect

Every Reiki session in a unique experience for the individual, you may find you have totally different experiences in different sessions. The more comfortable and relaxed you become with the healing energy the more benefit you will receive. The session will start with a consultation, which will involve a chat with me to discuss what you would like to get from the session and to set an intention should you wish to do so. This is an important part of the process allowing you to decide on a focus for the session. During session you will lie down on a massage table full clothed, you can remove your shoes & a blanket can be provided for comfort. I will perform Reiki healing by gently placing my hands on different areas of the body starting with the head, chest, and abdomen and finishing with legs and feet.
